Biography
A 1991 graduate of the University of Montana School of Journalism, Amy Joyner has been a professional writer for 35 years. Her most substantial writing years were spent while working for the Montana’s largest newspaper, the Billings Gazette, Salem, Oregon’s daily newspaper the Statesman Journal, and, for the Montana Business Quarterly Magazine at the University of Montana. A mostly retired staff newspaper reporter in Montana and Oregon, Joyner still takes on writing gigs nationwide as a freelance journalist. Successfully tolerating life with Multiple Sclerosis for more than 30 years, the Anaconda native writes from her home 20 miles from Glacier National Park. She is currently seeking agent representation for her debut Young Adult novel, Darkest Sunshine. Her Middle Grade book, A Tug and a Kiss, was finished in early 2025 and is undergoing its necessary rewrites and editing,
