Biography
I may live in Tennessee right now, but the Flathead Valley has my heart. My grandparents brought my dad and his sisters to Glacier National Park every summer, and it’s where his love for the outdoors took root. He passed that love on to me—but even more than that, Glacier changed the course of our family story. In the 1970s, while working in the park, he met my mom. He was from North Dakota and she was from Florida. Their paths never would’ve crossed otherwise. So when I say I can thank Glacier National Park for my life, I mean it quite literally. That connection has long called me back—and it’s why I’m so grateful to be part of this writing community that knows the landscape as more than just a backdrop. I'm a former news director and corporate communications professional, now a freelancer and stay-at-home mom, working on my debut novel. My debut work is a historical fiction mystery inspired by one of the U.S. Forest Service cabins my family has long enjoyed renting on the North Fork. Set in the early 1900s, it follows a Norwegian homesteading family determined to secure their land claim—no matter the cost. As they fight to hold onto their future, a shocking disappearance and a carefully kept secret threaten to unravel everything. This project is deeply personal to me, blending my love for history, nature, storytelling, and, of course, Montana.
